" 46 Glorious years were completed and we have entered in 47th Year of Registration of our Society on 21st May 2021 of our Andhra Association of Rajasthan with Head Quarters at Jaipur. "
Initially, Andhra Vigyana Samithi, an association of Telugu speaking people was formed at Pink City, Jaipur with a sole intention to foster brotherhood and affinity among the Telugu speaking people in Jaipur. Later on, in the year 1975-76, it was renamed as ‘Andhra Association’ and was registered vide Registration No. 39 / 75-76, since then the Association has steadily spread its activities to the entire State of Rajasthan.
Association has good number of members from various districts of Rajasthan and many members and their family members are very active participants in our programmes
Jaipur being a vast city and many Telugu speaking people spread across its every nook and corner, the association aimed at bringing them all into one platform by organizing various cultural and social programs regularly inviting the members and families from all over the State. The Association is continuously striving for the welfare of the members and to upkeep our Andhra culture in Rajasthan. The association has always stood by its members not only in their happy days but also during difficult moments. Recent support to our members’ families and also students in providing medical support and food supplies during Corona Pandemic (Covid-19) is a case in point.
The Association has felicitated great personalities of Andhra Pradesh viz., Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy, Ex-Governor of Rajasthan, Dr. N.T. Rama Rao, who acted in more than 350 films, served as Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Chairman of National Front, Shri Jaipal Reddy, Ex-Central Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Kalanath Sastry, Gramina award winner, Shri M.S. Reddy, noted film director and actor and many others from time to time.
Pravachanam for 3 days by Brahmasri Samaveda Shanmukha Sarma garu at Rotary Club Auditorium, Grand Srinivasa Kalyanam along with various sevas like Suprabhata Seva till Oonjal Seva with the help of TTD priests at Govind Dev Ji Temple Premises at Jaipur were organized in the past apart from our regular events like Ganesh Puja, Ganapathi Homam, Sankranti, Ugadi Celebrations, Karthika Vana Bhojanaalu etc.
Charitable and social activities every year also the highlights of our Andhra Association.
In the year 2020, popular Pravachana Kartha Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao garu of Kakinada graced our Association and met our members and families and he gave his blessings to all members and families present then.
The Association has been granted Section 80G exemption from income tax for any donor for our Association. We are going to regularly renew this facility as and when it becomes due.
Further, the Association has also organized a number of picnic programmes outside Jaipur i.e. Udaipur, Ajmer-Pushkar, Nathdwara, Alwar, Bhilwara, Khatushyam ji, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, etc. It has also brought out a good number of souvenirs so far. On 21st May 2021, during 47th Foundation day Celebrations, for the first time, e-Souvenir was published and posted on our website www.aajaipur.org. The Special & continued efforts of Sri G S S Rama Raju, Sri Lalit Narayan, Sri Krishna, expert in IT and website management & brother of Sri Lalit Narain, Sri G Santosh kumar and Sri VSR murthy are praise worthy. Another milestone in its feather is inauguration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) E-Darshan counter on 16.03.2009 at F/47, Sunder Marg, Near Bagadia Bhawan, C-Scheme, Jaipur which was providing all facilities like advance reservation of Shrivari Darshan / Seva / Accommodation, etc. For four years it has facilitated thousands people of Rajasthan to have a hassle free Darshan of Lord Venkateswara. For various reasons, the TTD counter was discontinued by TTD a few years back and we shall try to re establish the TTD Information Centre as soon as possible.
As a further step to strengthen its presence and step up its activities for the welfare and well being of its members and to spread Telugu culture, the Association is in the process of acquiring Land for ‘Community Centre” .Our dream of having our own office, Function hall, indoor & outdoor sports and Guest rooms for visiting families from various parts of the country & abroad to Jaipur etc is going to be fulfilled soon
Due to Covid-19, the release of Souvenir was delayed and so now we thought of e-souvenir and are launching on this auspicious day of our 47th Foundation day and uploading the same on our website: www.aajaipur.org for the benefit of our Patrons and members.
On the eve of 47th Foundation day, from 21st May 2021, we have introduced Plastic/smart Membership cards with attractive designs and distinguishing colors for Regular/ordinary Members, Life Members, Student Members, Family members and so on. Here too, the efforts of Sri G S S Rama Raju garu are praise worthy.
For this noble cause, your valuable contributions and whole-hearted support is solicited. Your support and help would enable the Association to acquire a permanent place in Jaipur and would go a long way in benefiting the generations to come.
